Swimming Pool Construction Plans

Every customer receives detailed construction plans from their Compass Pool dealer, which they can pass on to the construction company. These plans include all the necessary information for the installation and excavation work.

Before installation, the fit and functionality of the accessories are tested. This includes verifying that components like LED lights, inlet nozzles, and counter-current systems are securely installed and working correctly. Additionally, the sealants and adhesives used to fix these elements are tested to ensure they are properly cured, ensuring a watertight and durable fit.

By planning ahead, you save time and ensure a smooth, efficient installation with Compass Pool.

Excavation and Base Preparation for the Ceramic Pool

First, the subsoil is checked to determine if it is stable enough to proceed without a concrete base. If the subsoil conditions are suitable, the next step is to lay a layer of geotextile. Following this, a layer of round river pebbles, 8 to 16 millimetres thick, is spread across the surface and levelled.

Once the base is properly prepared, the ceramic pool shell is carefully positioned into the excavated area.

For an in-ground swimming pool with a sloping bottom, additional precision is required. In these cases, the layer is laid with the exact slope to match the pool’s design, ensuring a perfect fit and long-lasting durability.

Pool Delivery and Positioning

The pool is delivered safely and professionally to the construction site. Using a crane or appropriate lifting equipment, the pool is precisely lowered into the prepared excavation. Ensuring the correct alignment and levelling of the pool is crucial to guarantee a smooth installation and long-term stability.

During positioning, great care is taken to ensure the top edge of the pool is perfectly level, which is essential for both functionality and an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Once the pool is in the correct position, the technical connections can be made in the trench around the pool to complete the installation properly.

Backfilling, Installation, and Final Appearance

The next phase involves installing essential components such as inlet nozzles, pool lighting, hoses, and pipework. Once these are fitted, the backfilling process begins around the pool shell to ensure proper support and stability.

A concrete ring anchor is then added around the pool’s edge to secure the structure and prevent any movement. At the same time, the pool is filled with water to balance the pressure on the walls, ensuring stability and preparing the pool for the final finishing touches.
